Oriol Cara was born and raised in Barcelona . Since his early years he lived surrounded by artists. His parents, both atrists, founded Leonardo da Vinci Art School in the late 70's. The creative atmosphere of the school nourished him beyond what can be taught. Such a deep experience defined his attitude towards art and a very personal understanding of the creative process.
After finishing his Visual Arts degree he joined the school as the head administrator and photography instructor. He spent several years teaching, and creating his own artwork. Oriol participated in several solo and collective sculpture and photography exhibits, including the city-wide Primavera Fotografica.
He moved to the Berkeley in 2004 and continues to develop his photographic skills by collaborating with community organizations all over the Bay Area.
Oriol has worked as a freelance photographer in a wide range of fields, from wedding, concert, photojournalism and sports to product photography.
